Description

The AIRBATT GR10 is a compact AC bridge regulator/rectifier with zero crossing control (low to no radio interference). The regulator is suitable for Rotax alternators (2-wire) up to 300W (depending on cooling) and allows the voltage to be adjusted to the battery via a potentiometer. A charge control output for connecting a charge control lamp signals the function of the regulator.

Since the connector and the dimensions of the housing are similar to the Ducati Energia 343 620, it can be replaced 1:1 by the Airbatt GR10 charge regulator. It was specially designed for the operation of LiFePO4 and lead batteries on Rotax 912/914 and Jabiru engines. By means of a small potentiometer, the charging voltage of the CCCV charge curve can be precisely adjusted between 13.8V and 14.9V according to the system to be charged (factory setting: 14.5V).

With the GR10 charge controller, the control thyristors are switched near the voltage zero crossing. This reduces disturbances in the vehicle electrical system to a minimum. The temperature protection triggers when the temperature exceeds 100°C and resets itself automatically when the temperature drops below 100°C.

Functional features:

  • The charge indicator lamp lights up when you switch on the main switch.
  • As soon as the GR10 charge controller generates power, this lamp goes off.
  • If the thermal protection has tripped, the charge indicator lamp will also light up.

Installation:
The cooling fins of the GR10 should be as vertical as possible during installation, as this will give you the best possible cooling effect. Place the controller in an airflow if possible. Select the installation location so that the controller cannot be heated up by nearby heat sources. You can connect the generator, the battery, the main switch cable and the charge control with the existing plug or alternatively with a high-quality flat plug 6.3mm. You implement the ground connection via the housing. A capacitor is not necessary. For installation in non-ventilated places, we recommend the GR10-AIR

For the installation method, please refer to the data sheet.
