GR10 OVP charge controller
The GR10 OVP charge controller gives you a compact AC bridge regulator /Rectifier with overvoltage protection and a charge contol output, on which a control lamp can be connected. The controller is suitable for Rotax AC alternators (2-wire) up to 450 W (depending on the cooling) and makes it possible to adjust the voltage via a potentiometer of the battery. When using LiFePO₄ batteries and our GR10 OVP, an extra OVP is not necessary. In case of the GR10 OVP charge controller, the control thyristors are switched close to the Voltage zero crossing. As a result, disturbances on the electrical system are minimized.

Features:
The charge indicator lights up as soon as you turn on the main switch. Once the GR10 OVP charge controller generates power, this lamp goes off. If the voltage for the battery exceeds the permissible value of 15.2 V, the internal OVP triggers and interrupts the alternator power supply, this is indicated by the control lamp. The internal OVP can be reset manually via the main switch or if the voltage drops below 13.5 V

Installation:
The cooling fins of the GR10 OVP should be as vertical as possible when installed to the engine. This gives you the best possible cooling effect. It is best to place the regulator in a stream of air. Select the installation location to a avoid heating the controller by nearby heat sources.
The measuring line for the OVP is connected as close as possible to the battery with the supplied fuse and put onto pin 7 of the regulator together with the plug. The lock must first be removed from the mainplug with a side cutter. With the existing plug or an other high-quality plug with 6.3 mm tabs you can connect the generator, the battery, the main switch, the measuring line, the charge control and the OVP. You can implement the ground connection via the housing. A capacitor is not necessary.
