With an output power of 6W, the IC-A16E is, together with the IC-A25 units, the most powerful handheld radio under 1000€.
Loud audio
Specially adapted for aeronautical radio and the conditions at airfields, the very loud 1500mW audio output with great frequency response provides perfect speech intelligibility in all situations.
Easy to use
Another outstanding feature of the IC-A16E is the easy one-handed operation, due to the combination of the particularly small and light housing of the ICOM IC-A16E with clearly labelled large keys and robust rotary knob. The keypad and display are backlit for easy operation even at night.
Long battery life
The modern 7.2V Li-Ion battery allows up to 17 hours of normal use.
Robust workmanship
Even in bad weather conditions, the IP67 water- and dust-proof construction of the housing allows reliable use.
