Klixon single-phase TC units are the smallest and lightest high-performance aircraft fuses currently available. They represent the state of the art. Their light weight and small size make them particularly suitable for installation in aircraft, avionics and electronic systems.
Ambient temperature compensation
Ambient compensated circuit breakers allow designers to specify smaller gauge cables where the circuit breaker and wiring are exposed to different ambient temperatures. They are particularly suitable for applications where the ambient temperature exceeds the maximum of 71°C (160 ° F) of non-ambient compensated thermal circuit breakers. The TC Series can be used at operating temperatures up to 121°C (250°F) without reducing the circuit breaker's performance. This eliminates the need for cooling air and provides significant weight, space and cost savings.
Freedom from interference
The entire range of TC Series circuit breakers is trouble-free. The circuit breaker cannot be held closed during an overload even with the operating knob closed.
High short-circuit capacity
Due to its miniature size, the 2TC series offers an unusually high current interrupting capacity. Overloads can be safely interrupted without affecting the calibration or operating performance of the standard 2TC series for:
- overloads of up to 6,000 amps at 28 VDC
- Overloads of 2,000 to 3,500 amps at 120 VAC, 400 Hz
